Flexiteek is a great looking teak deck alternative that adds character
to any boat. Its biggest pluses are the comparative low cost versus genuine
teak decking and the minimal maintenance required for a Flexiteek deck.
Simply clean it as you would a nonskid deck, with a hose or a bucket of
warm water and soap (Simple Green works great!). Being a composite PVC
material, Flexiteek is extremely durable and is also highly stain resistant.
Fish blood and red wine won't stain it, BBQ grease comes right off. Also,
unlike real teak decking which will go a dull pale gray in a few months,
Flexiteek's UV resistance means its color won't fade. Flexiteek is also
an incredible nonskid material, even more so than typical painted nonskid
or real teak decking.
